When I first started my training to become a Reflexologist I was nervous about studying again - I know it's not lost on me either... a former teacher scared of learning! But I hadn't studied something COMPLETELY new for many years and I did wonder how easily it would come back to me and how much trouble my peri menopausal brain would be! However I needn't have worried! I still loved learning and after 25 years of educational focus it was a breath of fresh air to take a new direction and dare I say do well at it.
During my training I came to realise that Reflexology has many facets that can help different phases and conditions we may face throughout our lives - menopause, infertility, lymphedema, maternity, spinal, cancer care, baby and toddler to name but a few. All of these facets each provide an opportunity to take further recognised training to learn new extensive techniques that are already helping so many people internationally.
I have a good friend who has helped my family more than she will ever realise and when she became ill, I knew then that the first course that I wanted to do, once qualified, was RLD - Reflexology Lymph Drainage to help repay her my debt of immense gratitude.
This Autumn I was able to enrol on this CPD course and over the course of a
long, intensive weekend I learnt the new practice of RLD. As part of the course I then needed to complete a detailed case study and to my delight, not only could I start to repay my debt but the results were instant and lasting week on week.
I am chuffed to bits to announce that I am now qualified in Reflexology Lymph Drainage which can be recognised by this seal:
RLD was initially designed to help with breast cancer recovery but it may also help with these conditions:
Arthritis
Asthma
Eczema
Chronic fatigue
Fibromyalgia
ME
Sinus problems
Migraines
Headaches
Muscular tension
Aches and pains
Premenstrual Syndrome
And so my love for learning journey continues.... I wonder which training I take next? Oh, decisions, decisions!
